About Me
I’m Mariya, a herapist-in-training offering online therapy across Ontario.
Guided by a deep curiosity about what shapes our emotions, behaviors, and thoughts, I blend somatic therapy, expressive arts therapy, and over 15 years of experience in traditional healing, including psychedelic integration.
My passion is helping clients heal from trauma, childhood emotional neglect, and anxiety through a holistic, body-mind-spirit approach. While I value the power of insight, I believe that healing doesn’t have to be hard or sad. The journey to wholeness and living from your true self can be joyful, playful, and even fun. I bring this spirit into my sessions, encouraging creative expression and lightness alongside deep work.
With training in integrative therapy, I support individuals in reconnecting with their authentic selves. My sessions combine creative exploration, somatic awareness, and evidence-based counselling, tailored to your unique story-whether you’re seeking trauma recovery, personal growth, or support through life’s transitions.
If you’re looking for a grounded, compassionate therapist who honors both modern psychology and ancient wisdom-and who believes therapy can be an enjoyable and uplifting process-I invite you to connect and discover how online therapy can support your wellbeing.
“The world in which you were born is just one model of reality. Other cultures are not failed attempts at being you; they are unique manifestations of the human spirit.”
Wade Davis

My Story
I am a multilingual therapist in training (English, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Portuguese) with a diverse background in both clinical and holistic healing. Born in Russia and raised in Ukraine, I immigrated to Canada in 2000, where I completed my studies in Media Arts at Sheridan Institute of Technology.
My professional journey has taken me from filmmaking and community projects to over a decade of immersive study and facilitation of traditional healing practices in South America. As a co-founder and director of Canto Luz Centre in Peru, I led retreats and cultural preservation initiatives, working alongside respected indigenous healers. I hold a diploma in Applied Psychology (Integral Neuroprogramming) from the Institute of Innovative Psychotechnologies and am currently completing postgraduate training in Expressive Arts Therapy at CREATE Institute in Toronto. My practice integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with somatic, creative, and cross-cultural approaches.
Now based in Ontario, I offer online and in-person therapy for individuals and small groups, supporting clients in trauma recovery, personal growth, and emotional wellbeing.
