Online Somatic Therapy in Ontario for Trauma & Nervous System Healing

I offer online somatic therapy in Ontario for individuals healing from trauma, chronic stress, dissociation, and nervous system dysregulation. Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach to healing that works with sensation, movement, creativity, and the nervous system — not just words. As a somatic therapist in Ontario, I support people who feel disconnected from their bodies, overwhelmed by emotional patterns they understand intellectually but can’t seem to shift, or exhausted from years of surviving rather than living. This work is trauma-informed, relational, and paced with care, helping your nervous system restore safety, presence, and inner trust.

Who might benefit from somatic therapy:

From a young age, we learn to hide the parts of ourselves that feel “too much,” “too sensitive,” “too angry,” or “too needy.”

Over time, those masks start to feel like our skin. We forget who we are beneath them. We go numb. We disconnect.

Eventually, our bodies begin to speak the truth we’ve been holding in—through dissociation, depression, exhaustion, chronic pain, or autoimmune conditions. These symptoms are not failures; they are the body’s way of calling us back home to ourselves.

As a somatic therapist, I offer individual somatic therapy in Ontario for those ready to take off the mask and reconnect with their authentic selves. I work with individuals navigating:

  • Childhood emotional neglect and complex trauma

  • Depression, numbness, and emotional disconnection

  • Dissociation and challenges with embodiment

  • Spiritual emergence and existential exploration

  • Autoimmune conditions and chronic illness rooted in trauma

  • The slow, courageous journey back to wholeness

Who can benefit:

Somatic therapy can support people who sense that “just talking” isn’t enough—those who understand their patterns intellectually yet still struggle to feel different in their bodies. It’s especially helpful for overachievers, deep thinkers, and emotionally aware individuals who can describe their pain clearly but can’t seem to shift it.

If you’ve tried talk therapy or CBT and felt something was missing—something that reaches the parts words can’t—this work offers another path. Through creative expression, body awareness, and grounded embodied practice informed by indigenous wisdom, we help your nervous system remember it’s safe to feel again.

Therapeutic Approaches I use:

Expressive Arts Therapy

Expressive Arts Therapy (EXAT) is a trauma-informed and somatic approach that empowers individuals to express their true selves through various creative modalities, such as art, music, and movement. Central to EXAT is the belief that everyone has the innate ability to communicate their emotions and experiences creatively, regardless of artistic skill. By fostering a safe, judgment-free environment, EXAT encourages participants to break free from societal constraints and explore their identities, ultimately enabling them to articulate complex feelings and reshape their narratives. This transformative process not only promotes self-discovery but also equips individuals with the confidence to embrace authenticity in their everyday lives.

Integral Neuroprogramming

Integral Neuroprogramming (INP) is an innovative psychotherapeutic approach that integrates various aspects of human consciousness and neurological functioning. Developed by Russian psychologist S.V. Kovalev, INP combines elements of neurophysiology, psychology, and transformational practices to create a comprehensive framework for personal growth and healing. At its core, INP utilizes a structured sequence of steps, often referred to as the "Golden Staircase of Neurological Levels," to guide individuals from abstract ideas to tangible manifestations in reality. This approach recognizes the interconnectedness of consciousness, beliefs, energy, time, and physical reality, allowing practitioners to work systematically through these levels to achieve desired changes. INP emphasizes the importance of well-formulated intentions and addresses both cognitive and pre-cognitive aspects of the psyche, making it particularly effective for those familiar with altered states of consciousness

Relational Psychotherapy

Relational psychotherapy focuses on the significance of relationships in shaping emotional well-being and psychological growth. It views individuals as inherently relational, emphasizing that mental health is influenced by the quality of connections with others. In this approach, the therapeutic relationship itself becomes a vital tool for healing. Therapists create a safe, empathetic space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and relational patterns. By examining past and present relationships, clients gain insights into their interpersonal dynamics and learn healthier ways to connect with others, ultimately fostering more fulfilling and authentic relationships in their lives.
Compassionate Inquiry

Compassionate Inquiry is a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté that focuses on uncovering the root causes of an individual's challenges through self-exploration and compassion. This method emphasizes the importance of understanding how past experiences, particularly trauma, shape current behaviors and beliefs. By creating a safe, non-judgmental space, Compassionate Inquiry encourages clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, leading to increased self-awareness and healing. The approach integrates mindfulness, emotional processing, and self-compassion to help individuals gain insight into their patterns, address underlying issues, and ultimately foster personal growth and transformation.

Indigenous ways of knowing

My therapeutic approach integrates Indigenous ways of knowing and Peruvian vegetalismo, drawing on traditional healing practices and the use of sacred plant medicines. This method acknowledges the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit, and nature, utilizing carefully guided ceremonial contexts to facilitate deep introspection and healing. By incorporating Indigenous wisdom and the therapeutic potential of psychedelic plants, this approach offers a unique pathway to self-discovery, trauma resolution, and personal transformation. It emphasizes the importance of set, setting, and integration, ensuring that experiences with plant medicines are conducted safely and their insights are effectively incorporated into daily life, ultimately fostering holistic well-being and spiritual growth.

Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as composed of multiple subpersonalities or "parts." It identifies three main categories: Exiles, which carry emotional wounds; Managers, which try to control situations; and Firefighters, which react to distract from pain. Central to IFS is the concept of the "Self," an innate core of wisdom and compassion within each individual. The therapy aims to help clients access their Self to heal and harmonize their internal system of parts. IFS emphasizes that all parts have positive intentions, focusing on fostering self-compassion and internal cooperation rather than fighting or suppressing these parts.

Psychedelic Integration

Psychedelic integration is a therapeutic process that helps individuals make sense of and incorporate insights gained from psychedelic experiences into their daily lives. This approach recognizes that the transformative potential of psychedelic journeys often extends beyond the immediate experience itself. Integration therapy provides a supportive framework for exploring and processing the profound emotions, thoughts, and realizations that may arise during or after a psychedelic session. Therapists trained in this modality help clients navigate the sometimes challenging process of integrating new perspectives into their existing worldview, relationships, and behaviors. The goal is to maximize the therapeutic benefits of psychedelic experiences while minimizing potential risks, ultimately fostering long-term personal growth, healing, and positive life changes.
